Edale is a mecca for fell running with loads of footpaths, bridalways and access land to keep the most dedicated fell runner going for days on end.

There are several fell races run each year that Edale features in, the most famous being the Edale Skyline (21 miles) and the High Peak Marathon (42 miles, overnight, in winter!).  Regular races in Edale include:
